Some maintenance needs may require specific licensing to be able to fulfill the obligations. Question your contractor about permits and licensing to be sure they are within the grounds of the law. Additionally, it’s important that your contractor know their limitations and be willing to call in an alternative expert when necessary.

You never know when an unexpected maintenance need might show up. Your contractor may not be able to drop everything to show up right away, but your contractor should be accessible to you so that you can communicate issues and have a plan to address them in a timely manner.
